Job Description

Our client is one of the UK’s best known and most trusted brands in the UK, with an outstanding reputation in a range of fields. One of their core activities is rescuing people whose vehicles have broken down at the roadside and they have an opportunity for an LGV 1 Driver in the Huntingdon / Alconbury area.

It will be down to you to reach members and customers alike at the roadside, assess the situation, reassure the driver and take appropriate action. This will involve loading irreparable vehicles onto the back of your vehicle and taking it and the passengers to their destination.

Ideally you should be in the PE postcode as you will be working around the Huntingdon / Alconbury area.

You\'ll need:

• €¢ A valid, clean LGV 1 licence

• €¢ Outstanding communication skills and the ability to get on with people from all walks of life.

• €¢ Time-management skills

• €¢ Motivation and pride in your work is essential

• €¢ Willingness to work flexible hours on rota

• €¢ The temperament necessary to react well under pressure

If you are a self-motivated, excellent communicator who enjoys working outdoors then this recovery patrol job could really suit you. Although working mainly on your own, you will have the support of managers, colleagues, and trainers to call upon. You’ll get a comprehensive induction, an equipped vehicle, uniform (including safety shoes), satellite navigation and onboard computer.

Working in as a recovery patrol is not a 9am-to-5pm, Monday-to-Friday job as customers must receive the level of service required whenever they need it. Because of this, you\'ll be working shifts with evening, weekend and bank-holiday working as the norm and you will be required to work overtime for some additional hours each month.
