Job Description
Mechanic/FSR, Military/Defence, Bedfordshire
Mechanic/FSR required in Bedfordshire to work on Army/Defence/Military Trucks for a global defence company.
Mechanic/FSR with experience working with Army/Defence/Military/armoured vehicles, Trucks/Tanks/HGV\'s or LGV\'s providing mechanical expertise and advice as well as hands on repair/retro fitting work.
The Mechanic/FSR work will include inspecting vehicles after testing has been done on all terrains. The Mechanics will then be responsible for repairing any faults on a mechanical and electrical basis, the electrical work will include cable pulling, and electrical wiring of radars, night vision cameras and other electrical equipment. Mechanically the work will include repair of any engine leeks, issues arising from rigorous testing.
The ideal Mechanic/FSR would be from REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) or similar Army/Military related background.
This could be up to a 1 year contract for which the Mechanic\'s must be available to start as soon as possible. The Mechanic position will require long hours working 5 days a week from Monday - Friday at least 10 hours per day, with the possibility of working on Saturdays.
